Bacta take progressive stance and subsidise electricity costs for exhibitors participating at EAG 2026

In an initiative which reflects the pivotal role of EAG in the industry calendar, UK trade association Bacta has confirmed that it will be subsidising a reduction in electricity costs for all exhibitors at the 2026 edition of what is the premier event for the out of home leisure, gaming and entertainment industries.

The initiative which has been introduced to assist businesses which have been forced to absorb across the board increases in business costs much of them as a result of Chancellor Rachel Reeves’ first budget, will see EAG  electricity costs reduced by 3 percent for January’s event.

Welcoming the support for the wider industry EAG Chairman Nick Harding said: “Bacta has a magnificent track record of supporting businesses and helping them to connect with buyers in the professional and progressive environment that’s provided by EAG.

“The electricity subsidy for the 2026 edition reflects how engaged Bacta is as an organisation and represents a powerful example of the benefits of EAG being trade association owned.  I am sure that all of our exhibitors will be delighted with the news and will be passing on their thanks to Bacta President Joseph Cullis.  I should also take the opportunity to thank our advisor Billy Codd from EESL who has helped in all of our discussions and calculations.”

In a separate development show organisers have responded to requests received from stakeholders to bring forward the release of the Exhibitor Manual which is being sent directly via email by the EAG Ops Squad to all currently booked 2026 exhibitors and to any new exhibitors as they come on board. Additional downloadable copies of both the Exhibitor and Marketing Manuals, along with event collateral, will be available in the Exhibitors’ E-Zone, accessible via the EAG website.

Login details for the E zone will be emailed to exhibitors, with support available from Phil Gibbs at phil.gibbs@eagexpo.com
