Casinos add fresh dimension to EAG

The London Casino and Gaming show is adding at least 14 percent to the footfall of the overall EAG exhibition, and of those, nearly one-third fall into the category of board member/founder/owner/director.
Revealing the eve-of-show statistics, EAG director Nicola Lazenby said that the addition of the LCG offshoot to EAG had ‘transformed the experience’.
“We now have the most all-round event covering all of the in-person entertainment attractions for the wider amusement and gambling industry.”
EAG opens its doors at London’s ExCeL today (Tuesday) and according to the pre-registrations data from Lazenby’s organisation, the Bacta-owned trade show will be the largest in years in terms of both the number of booths and the number of visitors.
Last Friday, Lazenby was able to report that overall pre-registrations were up over six percent year-on-year and that 14 percent of them were LCG-specific. Those casino executives were also surprisingly international, considering that the show is only days ahead of the ICE trade show in Barcelona.
“The LCG pre-registrations includes individuals from 30 countries. The overall EAG international footfall is from 83 countries,” Lazenby added.
Looking at the casino event in isolation, 31 percent were very senior, falling into the category of board/founder/owner/director, but noticeably 15 percent were also at managerial level.
Her EAG chairman, Martin Burlin, in his last year in that role, commented: “The doors open today on the most all-rounded exhibition ever staged by the trade association since the days of the old Earls Court ATEI, where the casino exhibition that became ICE, was born.
“The argument for the wider industry to come out to the Docklands exhibition complex this year is very persuasive!”
