MH Leisure to debut ‘Bluey’ licensed children’s ride and best of British engineering at EAG

Gareth Jones, General Manager at MH leisure Ltd has participated in EAG since its launch. He exhibited every year as a coin-operated ride manufacturer with Northern Leisure/Kiddy Rides where he worked for a total of 26-years until its closure as a result of the pandemic. He then joined with MH Leisure with a plan to expand and reach out into areas which had been left vacant or lay dormant. Gareth provides a sneak preview of what visitors can expect to see from MH Leisure at January’s EAG – including what is likely to be a popular world debut!

What are the key products and services that you will be showing at EAG?

‘Bluey’ our first licensed children’s ride will be making its long awaited debut at EAG! The brand is strong and the ride carries great appeal and boasts instant recognition. In the form of the show’s family 4x4 it features characters, music and voices which children already know and love. Alongside Bluey will be our Police Tempest.  A police themed Supercar with two seats, emergency lights, eye catching LED displays and real supercar sound effects. All our rides are produced in the UK and hand built in house, using only the highest quality gel coats, control systems and British engineering. We will also be offering our services for refurbishments, repairs and restoration work, but ultimately EAG is about launching our new rides.

How many of your products will be making their debut at EAG in January?

Bluey will be a world debut, and whilst the Police Tempest is currently operational, it will be the first time it has been on display to visitors at an exhibition.

What does success look like for you – what are your objectives and what do you want to achieve from exhibiting?

I just want to get our name out there and be recognised as a quality UK manufacturer and operator of children’s entertainment products. I believe that the Bluey license will give us that opportunity and the exposure needed to reach people that may not yet be familiar with the MH Leisure brand.

EAG 2025 will be the biggest edition since the show opened at ExCeL London – how important is it to have a major show dedicated to out of home entertainment based in the UK?

I think it’s hugely important to have the expo. It allows businesses to showcase their products and services to a physical audience. Customers can see the quality for themselves and interact with other members of the industry instead of doing so virtually, or via pictures and emails. EAG has led to some of the best business relationships and successful partnerships which wouldn’t necessarily have transpired without the show. It’s a great platform for the industry to come together and promote ourselves.

Are you expecting the co-located Social Immersive Expo to attract a new audience to the show?

I believe that it will attract greater footfall. There may be a slightly different genre of visitors or customers, but whether or not that will cross over into my sector and be relevant, we’ll have to wait and see.

Featuring over 1,000 product launches EAG  provides a window on all aspects of the dynamic out of home entertainment industry .
