An exhibitor at EAG for more than a decade Semnox Solutions will be at ExCeL London in confident mood with a raft of innovations and a desire to use the first industry expo of 2025 to get the year off to a positive start. Vinayaka Kamath, the company’s Business Head for UK and Europe expands on the latest trends in out of home entertainment and the role that technology plays in helping operators to stay ahead of the curve.
The 2024 edition of EAG Expo will be the biggest on record – how important is it to have a major show dedicated to out of home entertainment based in the UK?
This is great news. As the first industry expo of the year, EAG sets the tone for what's to come. Given the market potential, we are anticipating a significantly busier and more impactful show this time around.
What are the key products and services that you will be showing at EAG?
We are known in the industry for our innovation and this edition of EAG will be no exception. Alongside multiple solutions and innovations we will be displaying two new products, comprising the 32 Inch Klassic: Pro model of Self Service Kiosk which is 2024 IAAPA Brass Ring Award winner and the KwickFun – dual handheld device that can process both game card and bank cards.
Is your decision to open an office in the UK indicative of the importance of the market?
Absolutely. We have been active in the UK market for over a decade and have built a substantial customer base here. Establishing a local office is essential in order to provide our customers with exceptional service. Moreover, the UK, along with Ireland and the European market, holds immense potential, making a local presence vital for our continued growth and success.
What are the latest trends in out of home entertainment and how does the product range address these trends?
Out-of-home entertainment has a legacy spanning many decades and it is continually evolving to align with modern trends and technological advancements. Currently, the industry is witnessing a shift towards immersive and hybrid experiences that include VR + arcade, bar + arcade combinations, edutainment concepts, attractions and amusements, as well as multi-concept venues combining these elements.
